Jerisich Dock and the Skansie Brothers Park- at the intersection of Harborview Drive and Rosedale Street in downtown Gig Harbor, Jerisich Dock includes a public dock, picnic tables and restrooms. The historic Skansie Brothers Park next door is currently under development by the city but the lawn and bulkhead are open to the public. Each Tuesday evening during July and August the very popular Summer Sounds at Skansie takes place here.
Randall Boat Launch- This Pierce County facility on Randall Drive in east Gig Harbor is the only public launch on the bay and services small vessels.
Sunrise Beach County Park- The park on Colvos Passage north of Gig Harbor is an undeveloped 82-acre scenic site with more than 2,400 feet of waterfront natural woods and shoreline, as well as some of the best diving in the Northwest. More information on diving in and near Gig Harbor
Kopachuck State Park- The site is a 109-acre marine and camping park with 5,600 feet of saltwater shoreline on Henderson Bay. One portion of the park, Cutts Island (or "Deadman's Island") is a half mile from shore and reachable only by boat. The park provides scenic views of sunsets, the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. Miles of beaches, including clam beds, are open to the public at this park on the western shore of the Gig Harbor Peninsula. Penrose Point State Park- A 152-acre marine and camping park on the Key Peninsula, this park offers wildlife, birds and forested terrain. More information on Penrose Point State Park
Joemma Beach State Park- The 122-acre marine camping park offers 3,000 feet of saltwater frontage on southeast Key Peninsula. The area is an excellent place for fishing, boating and crabbing. More information on Joemma Beach State Park.
Purdy Spit- Located at Goodrich Drive Northwest and State Route 302 in Purdy, this 7.5-acre park has a salt water beachfront and boat launch.
Fox Island Boat Launch- This popular site is strictly for boat launching. With very little available space for parking, get there early for the best spot.
Fox Island Fishing Pier- This unique fishing pier was built by the Department of Fish and Wildlife and managed by the Pierce County Parks Department. This pier is a beautiful and accessible fishing dock with paved pathway and handrails for safety in a picturesque setting. The Pier is located at 1453 Ozette Drive.
