The Gig Harbor Garden Tour Association is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving literacy in the Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula area. We are totally volunteer and use all profits above expenses from our annual Gig Harbor Garden Tour for grants to support literacy programs. We have given over $30,000 a year for 20 years in grants. Most grants either support tutoring for struggling readers or provide books to students. We have awarded grants in recent years to the following programs:
Gig Harbor Branch, Tacoma Community College Adult literacy Program
Communities in Schools Peninsula
Boys and Girls Club
Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula Libraries
Harbor History Museum
Little Free Libraries
Minter Creek Elementary School
Vaughn Elementary School
Purdy Elementary School
Evergreen Elementary School
Voyager Elementary School
